Purple Rain Scarf

I bought this yarn from an estate sale. It is no longer available in stores. I loved the color and texture until I tried to knit with it. It’s a mix of silk and cotton and very ragged edges. It gets all tangled and is delicate, so the strand can be easily broken with too much pressure. I had reached a point where I needed to find someway to knit with it so I could see how it would look. I settled for a simple knit scarf. I started the scarf and once it came along I really grew to like the airiness and texture of the scarf. I have enough for 3-4 more scarves and have been thinking to do them with beading.

Once I got the scarf going I felt that is a perfect Prince tribute. I want to do beads to resemble rain falling on the ends. While I was knitting the test scarf today, some one wanted to purchase. I was at my sons music school and had time ot finish off the scarf and give it to my FIRST CUSTOMER. So I made my first sale today!!!!!!
