Been pretty productive this last month or so. I’ve completed some nice items.
I decided to try my hand at socks, made them on larger needles with thicker wool more of a slipper sock, but did teach me sock basics and hopefully will make some more pairs soon. Maritime Wool socks are a quick and east knit. Here are the ones I made for my oldest son who adores them.
In preparation for the holidays I’ve been knitting dishcloths and will be doing scrubby things etc. Not sure what else will go into my little gift pack this year. I’ve found cookies never go wrong:). I’ve done 2 patterns so far dishcloths, I’ve been using cotton yarn for these and both are pretty quick knit. There is the Lizard Ridge Dishcloth which is a free download on ravelry and I’ve done 2 of the Circle Cloth pattern. I really am smitten with the circle cloth and want to make a bath mat from it.
I also finished a shawl I had started last year and once I blocked it i love it. The pattern is fairly simple, Traveling Woman Shawl
Right now Im working on a zombie scarf for my youngest and some golf club covers for a blind knitting swap. It where a group of people are assigned a person to stalk. We have 2 months to mail them a package with one new skein of yarn, one handmade item by us and keep it all under $20 (not including shipping). My person is almost done and hopefully Ill send out the box next weekend.
